Fleet

Prerequisites

• A Fleet server URL, e.g. https://fleet.yourcompany.com (self-hosted) or https://<instance>.fleetdm.com (cloud)
• A Fleet API-only user with the Observer role (read-only access is all Wirespeed needs). Fleet recommends API-only users for automated workflows because their API keys do not expire like regular user keys.

Create an API Token

1. In Fleet, create an API-only user with the Observer role from Settings > Users > Create user > API-only.
2. You can also create the API-only user with fleetctl:
   fleetctl user create --name "Wirespeed" --email "[email protected]" --api-only --global-role observer
   
3. Copy the generated API token when Fleet displays it and store it securely.

Add the Integration in Wirespeed

1. In Wirespeed, navigate to Integrations > Add Integration > Fleet
2. Enter your Fleet URL and the API token
3. Submit the integration

What Wirespeed Ingests
